Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Fulfillment Coordinator, you support the shift supervisor in managing the daily operational execution of our fulfillment center — tracking staffing, monitoring throughput metrics on the Sort Manager dashboard, coordinating dock door assignments, and communicating operational status updates to the management team throughout the active sort window.

• Staffing Board Management: Maintain the real-time shift staffing board throughout the sort window — recording associate assignments, tracking break rotations, documenting any early departures or call-outs, and communicating headcount gaps to the supervisor immediately so labor redistribution decisions are made with accurate information rather than estimates.
• Throughput Metric Monitoring: Pull hourly throughput reports from the Sort Manager dashboard and compare actual packages-per-hour against the shift plan target, flagging any section running more than 8 percent below plan to the supervisor with the specific belt section ID, current rate, and elapsed deficit volume so corrective action can be deployed before the gap compounds.
• Departure Readiness Coordination: Communicate with the dock shipping team every 30 minutes during the active sort window, confirming each trailer's loading percentage against the departure schedule and escalating any trailer projecting a late seal to the operations manager at least 45 minutes before its hard departure time.
