Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Warehouse Technician, you support the digital and physical accuracy of our fulfillment center operation — auditing scan system performance, resolving barcode read failures, and providing real-time data support to the sort management team that keeps throughput metrics accurate and customer tracking reliable across every shift.

• Scan System Auditing: Monitor scan tunnel read rates across active conveyor lines during peak sort windows, identifying persistent no-read zones or barcode damage patterns and escalating systemic scanner failures to maintenance before they produce chain-of-custody gaps in the tracking system.
• Barcode Exception Processing: Manually scan and reroute packages that bypassed automated tunnel reads, capturing every missed barcode within the sort window and entering exception data into the warehouse management system to restore tracking accuracy for each affected shipment.
• Throughput Data Reporting: Pull real-time sort productivity reports from the warehouse management dashboard at supervisor-requested intervals, formatting data into clear shift summaries that give the operations team the visibility needed to make immediate staffing and pacing decisions.
